In this creative writing class, participants will enhance their skills in a fun and supportive environment. There is an emphasis on personal stories, characterisation and structure. Participants will explore writing in various genres and formats. These include writing for children, poetry, short story, novella, opinion pieces and performance writing.
Works in progress will be reviewed in a constructive atmosphere to bring out the very best of your talent. Students are informed of various writing competitions throughout the year and everyone is encouraged to enter. This offers the students the chance to complete several projects to a high standard and test their work in the broader writing community.
Bring out the creative writer in you and join us on this enriching journey in 2016.

Testemonial Sept 2017:
Janet is a terrific teacher who brought out the creativity in each of us. Her style and general nature resulted in a great connection being formed within the group - we were free to (happily) share our ideas without fear of judgement (now that's pretty rare). I had a thoroughly enjoyable time, learnt a lot and it helped me set up a regular routine to practising my creative writing. A big thank you to Janet and to you all for running such a great course and for providing a real community environment with such a welcoming vibe.
Janet has the gift of encouraging the group in a very positive manner
